Koirat pääsivät tänään ulkoilemaan mökille kauniiseen ja lämpimään syysilmaan. Syyskuu on alkanut meillä Suomessa kyllä aivan poikkeuksellisen hyvissä keleissä, toivottavasti jatkuu samanlaisena!

Nickylläkin oli energiaa ja vauhtia vaikka kuinka. Yritin epätoivoisesti menoa vähän hillitä, mutta eihän se auttanut. Sinkoili vaan joka suuntaan ja ai että oli hauskaa! Viikon kestänyt lepo on selvästi tehnyt tehtävänsä ja alkaa elämä taas voittaa. Kehonhallinta on parantunut huomattavasti ja on kotonakin jo nojatuolille hypännyt makoilemaan.. Pienellä varauksella vielä tuota touhua katselen, kun edelleenkään ei ole tietoa, mikä Nickyllä on tai oli. Toivon mukaan ylihuomenna saadaan tähänkin asiaan vihdoin selvyys, kun lähdemme visiitille Vantaalle tarkempiin tutkimuksiin.

Roin kanssa ilmoittauduttiin vihdoin "toko" kurssille. Olemme käyneet Taina Auran pitämän alkeiskurssin joskus aikoinaan, mutta nyt sitten jatkamme jatkokurssille. Meidän piti aloittaa kyseinen kurssi jo kesän alussa, mutta silloin omat niin epäsäännölliset työni estivät tämän. Nyt on elämä ja aikataulut sen verran rauhoittuneet, että pääsemme aloittamaan harrastuskuviot. Tähän asti Roi on elänyt ja ollut ns. kotikoirana ja opetellut arkijuttuja kotosalla. Intoa ainakin riittää vaikka kuinka! Ehkä mekin vielä joskus pääsemme siihen vaiheeseen, että uskaltaudumme ihan kisa-areenoillekin.

We were at summer cottage today and were allowed to enjoy that very beautiful and warm weather. In September there has been exceptionally warm and good, in every way, weather in Finland. Hope it will continues like this!

I haven't told you in English before what happened to Nicky on last Sunday. But I am now, shortly. Well, I was outside with dogs and everything was going as usuall. But then, nothing expected, Nicky fell on his side and his eyes were enlarged like he would have seen a ghost. I thought he would die in my arms. After a little while he could rise his head but he couldn't walk at all. So there was any other option but carry Nicky to the home and car. Then we (I and my mom) phoned to the vet that we are on our way coming there.

In the examination room Nicky took his first, shaky steps. The vet did all basic examinations but any reason to that "scene" didn't find. So we left home. Nicky hadn't any problems with eating or drinking. On Tuesday we have more accurated blood tests but anything hasn't wound still. Everything has been as normal as it could be. Well, Nicky has been much, much better now and he can walk and run pretty well. He has even jumped on our armchair! Still he is a bit shaky and unstable in back and his topline isn't as straight as it have been before. We are going to neurological examination on Tuesday 10th September to Vantaa, Finland. Hope we are wiser then than we are now.

And we are finally about to start our obedience course with Roi. We were supposed to start that course already in the early summer but unfortunately I had so irregular working schedule back then. But now I'm vert excited and hope some day we will be in that point that we would start competing in obedience. So thumbs up for us!
