Chasing the waves

Molemmilla meidän koirilla on ne omat kummalliset "pakkomielteensä" kesämökillä oltaessa. Nickyllä se on kalastus, tarkemmin ottaen virvelöinti. Laiturin nokasta virvelöidessä on tuo koko ajan vieressä kyttäämässä vieheen takaisin tulemista. Tämän lisäksi käpyjen paimennus kuuluu Nickyn repertuaariin.

Roin puolestaan on pakko vahtia aaltoja, kun osuvat rantaan ja vesi roiskuu. Leuat louskuu, kun Roi yrittää saada näitä lentäviä vesipisaroita suuhunsa. Aivan mahdoton parivaljakko. Ranta on näiden poikien ehkä se kaikista mieluisin paikka kesämökillä.

Our both dogs have their own kind of "obsessions" at our summer cottage. For Nicky that is fishing. There he is end of the wharf with you waiting for the lure to come back. And also hearding the pine cones is what Nicky just can't resist, he has been doing that for whole his life now, since we got him.

But for Roi that one obsession is chasing the waves. He waits onshore when waves hit the ground and then he tries to catch all splashes with his mouth.

Tomorrow morning we are going to Orivesi, All Breeds dog show, with Roi. So thumbs up for that we will do well there!
