New family member

Tänään aamulla aikaisin meidän perheeseen saapui uusi perheenjäsen. Kyseessä ei kuitenkaan ole koira, vaan ehkä hieman yllättäen kani. Puhdasrotuinen hermeliinikani Kelvin. Tarkkaa ikää ei ole meillä tiedossa, arviolta kuitenkin noin puolivuotias, eli vielä nuori mies kyseessä.

Toistaiseksi Kelvin on hieman ujostellut uudessa kodissaan, ja se viihtyykin ihmisten läsnäollessa mieluummin omassa kopissaan ja tarkastelee sieltä, mitä ympärillä tapahtuu. Nickyä ja Roita ei ole vielä päästetty katsomaan uutta perheenjäsentä, vaan annetaan Kelvinin ensin asettua ainakin nyt viikonlopun ajan. Tällä hetkellä ympärillä on kuitenkin paljon muuta uutta ja jännää.

Today morning our new family member Kelvin arrived. He is a purebred Polish rabbit called Kelvin. We don't know his actual age but he is around six months old so still quite young boy.

For now Kelvin has been quite shy and he is most of time in his own cottage if some human is around. Nicky and Roi haven't been allowed to seen Kelvin yet. We let Kelvin to settle down first, at least over the weekend. Then we'll see. I'm sure that Nicky hasn't any problems to get along with Kelvin but not so sure about Roi. He has such a high prey drive with everything that moves. So with Roi we have to be very careful that anything won't happen.
